Thrive Blue manages the Southeast Ocean and Coastal Acidification Network (SOCAN), a regional acidification network, serving as a liaison to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) facilitating regional grant applications for acidification research, funding and budgets, facilitating synthesis of research and expansion of network priorities to integrate efforts with stakeholders

COMMUNICATION ANALYST

Federal contract for communications, education and outreach, web development and social media for NOAA’s Ocean Acidification Program. Researched and synthesized scientific and policy information to translate into understandable, audience-appropriate communications products disseminated through social media, web and international workshops.

SCIENTIST

NOAA/JHT, INC.

Served as an analyst for a federal deep sea research laboratory, preparing technical reports for environmental damage and climate change assessments and delivering scientific support to leadership. Developed and implemented novel software techniques to turn visual data into geospatial data, supervised water chemistry analyses and coordinated high-profile meetings with senior leadership, scientists and lawyers.
